12 soldiers became the victims when their fellow soldier started shooting in Ft Hood. According to the news, an American army man, Hasan, opened up fire on his fellow soldiers in an army camp in Fort hood making 12 people victim of the shooting.
More than 12 people were killed in the shooting at Ft. Hood while other victims were seriously injured. The injured soldiers were taken to different hospitals of Texas; some of the hospitals are located as far as 30 miles from the base. One civilian was also killed.
Maj. Hasan was a psychiatrist employed in US army to help soldiers who were distressed. He worked with soldiers who returned from Iraq and Afghanistan. The 39-year-old major was born in the American state of Virginia. His parents belong to Jordan. The army will be inquiring the major soon and would like to get information about why he killed his fellow soldiers while he was employed to help them psychologically.

The shooting made everyone baffled and many became victim of this rampage. A civilian police officer fired at Maj. Hasan in return and finally forced him to stop the shooting due to serious injuries. Hasan was immediately taken to hospital in police custody. He is now in stable condition but was unconscious.
Malik Nadal Hassan was a mental health professional at Fort Hood. He is a Muslim, and was facing deployment. Chastised by his own kind, he snapped. He orchestrated the Fort Hood shootings and the Fort Hood shooting victims totaled 13 dead and injured another 30, according to Tributes.com.
In the aftermath of the Fort Hood Shootings, the 31 wounded have flooded local hospitals, the New York Times reports. Although the names of the victims have not been released, some have trickled out. Here is a list of the names revealed thus far.
Private first class Michael Pearson, 21, of Bolingbrook was reportedly shot three times -- in the spine and the chest -- when a gunman entered the Soldiers Readiness Processing Center and opened fire with two handguns.

Matthew Cook, son-in-law of Jamie and Scotty Casteel. Cook is from New York State and has been home from Iraq for about a year. "He's been shot in the abdomen and that's all we know," Jamie Casteel told The Associated Press.
Amber Bahr, 19, was shot in the stomach but was in stable condition, said her mother, Lisa Pfund of Random Lake, Wis.
